Thanks to everyone who came to Social Media Cafe Liverpool on Wednesday. For August it was a really great turn out, and, I think we can agree, that the speakers were all excellent.
Two of the presentations from the evening are now available online:
- Check out Mike Nolan‘s (not “Batman” Nolan) talk on Handling Social Media Overload on Slideshare. Some really useful pointers there for everyone.
- The presentation by Jon Bloor – featuring the esteemed @D_of_Wellington – called Publish and (don’t) be damned! is also on Slideshare. Don’t blame me if you have nightmares!
Have a look at some of the chatter on the #smcliv hashtag – Yes, there was cake!
Thanks to everyone who came, especially our other speaker Richard Smedley and Alison Gow who was our MC for the evening. Also, a big thank you to Static for being our venue for the evening. If you have any feedback drop us an email or comment on this post.
We’ll confirm details of the next SMC as soon as possible, but meanwhile get in touch if you would like to give a talk (15-ish mins on anything to do with social media/online culture), want to help out in another way or just have some questions.
Meanwhile, why don’t you join us over on Defnetmedia’s How Why DIY community site – it’s kinda like Ning – to connect with Liverpool based geeklets and find out about other events like Social Media Cafe?
